The Al Fara’a Group Joins the Terry Fox Run

For the third consecutive year, the Al Fara’a Group has extended its full support to the Terry Fox Run – a dynamic community and family activity that raises funds for cancer research. Apart from financial contributions, the Al Fara’a Group asserted its robust engagement via employee volunteers who participated in the actual run. The Al Fara’a Group Organizes Blood Donation Drive

In conjunction with Abu Dhabi Blood Bank, Al Fara’a Group organized a blood donation drive at its Corporate Office in Abu Dhabi. A total of 41 employees donated blood. A team of organizers from Al Fara’a ensured that the event ran smoothly. A total of 41 employees donated blood leading to a collection of 41 pints of blood. Four numbers of donation beds were set-up and separate arrangements were made for men and women. Dr JR Gangaramani, President and Executive Chairman, Al Fara’a said, “The fact that the blood donation drive receives such an overwhelming response from our employees every year is an endorsement of the culture of social commitment that runs deep in the organization”. Dr Gangaramani thanked the Abu Dhabi Blood Bank for their support in organizing this event. Dr. Marina from Abu Dhabi Blood Bank applauded Al Fara’a for its proactive and humane gesture in organizing the blood donation drive and added that Al Fara’a has over the years been steadfast in its commitment to such noble initiatives. Last year Al Fara’a had created a record by donating 251 pints of blood in a record eight hours. .view.

The Al Fara’a Group Helps Raise Funds for Cancer Research

Al Fara’a participated in the “Walk for a cause” organized by Al Ain Rotana on Friday, 24th February 2012. The event aims to raise funds in support of the research for Pediatric Oncology patients, and help children suffering from cancer. Dubai Oct 31: Al Fara’a Group won two prestigious awards at the Construction Week Awards 2011 where Dr JR Gangaramani, President and Executive Chairman of the Al Fara’a Group was honored with the ‘GCC Construction Executive of the Year’ and the Group subsidiary Unibeton Ready Mix, the market leader in UAE’s readymix concrete industry won the ‘GCC Supplier of the Year’ award. The awards were given away at a gala ceremony attended by dignitaries and officials from the Government as well as leading figures from the construction industry at the Westin Dubai on 31st October 2011. Now in its 7th year, the Construction Week Awards are the foremost event celebrating the achievements of the region’s construction contractors. The awards recognize and reward individual excellence, corporate prowess and project success. Companies are invited to nominate people, projects and initiatives of which they are most proud, across a total of 17 categories. Entries are judged by a large jury of industry peers, a factor which has given the Construction Week Awards an independent and credible reputation. The awards were given away by H.E. Sheikha Lubna Al Qasimi, the Minister for Foreign Trade, UAE. Started in 2002, this prestigious award honors the accomplishments and positive contributions of companies and top business personages all over the globe. Al Fara'a won seven Stevie honors in 2010.
